Message to parents
Welcome to The Little Lounge, a
community for homeschooled children. The Little Lounge is the sister site to
The Homeschool Lounge Community for Homeschool Moms. The Little Lounge is designed
to be a safe, fun, and friendly place for homeschool students online.
With your permission, your child can join our community, create an online blog,
join a group, and chat with other homeschool children in a controlled
environment.
Because we are committed to a safe
and positive experience for all homeschool children we have implemented the
following safeguards:
- Homeschool Children may join
TLL only if they receive parent’s permission. During the registration
process, your child will be linked to your Nook on THL for the safety of
all the children on TLL.
- We require every registrant
to read and agree to our Rules, outlining safety measures and proper
behavior at The Little Lounge. If a Homeschooler does not follow these
Rules, their account is deleted, and they won’t have access to the site.
- You and your child control who visits their blog. In the privacy settings choose “Just my friends” to allow only those friends who are personally known to your child to view blog posts.. Choose “anyone” to allow anyone to visit and view blog posts.
- Though the TLL Admin and moderators will do thier best to moderate member pages , we ask that parents take responsibility of thier childrens online activity and carefully monitor the activity on the childs member page including comments, blog posts, music added etc..
- Administrators monitor all groups and discussion forums to help ensure The Little Lounge stays safe and appropriate.
- Groups ~ The Discussion
groups are all made private so that only members can read and post on the
group. A child must first get the parents permission before requesting to
join a group.

- If someone ever makes
your child feel uncomfortable, please inform us by clicking on the link
that says “report” in the upper right links or at the very bottom of all
Little Lounge pages. When a member is reported, we can review the
discussion at the time of the incident, monitor the offending user, and
determine whether further action is required. Any users attempting
objectionable behavior can be banned from the site.
We encourage you to go over the site with your child and to continually monitor your child's blog and discussions.
